“What a great way to kick off the season,” said College of the Canyons Public Information Officer Jasmine Foster about the unique, colorful, and at times, moving story of a small bird who gets separated from his family during their flight south for the winter and instead end up at the North Pole.
The performance is done in complete darkness with performers wearing costumes and using props that are lined with bright, colorful lights that seem to be able to bring anything to life right in front of you.
“There is a limited holiday fare out there, but this is one of them we were kinda after,” said Lindsay Gambini, Managing Director of the PAC.
The show seemed to transcend the usual Christmas show audience with people of all ages in attendance, “there is lots of tweens here which is typically when parents stop taking kids to things,” said Gambini, “maybe we found something that works for tweens.”

“I think this community really embraces the holidays,” said Foster, as the PAC’s lobby was full of families spending time at the crafts stations nearly an hour before the curtain lifted.
