SCV Water Gardening Classes In Santa Clarita Remain Canceled, Payment Plans Now Available

SCV Water has canceled gardening classes in Santa Clarita for 2020 and will keep public lobbies closed while offering payment plans to those struggling financially during the coronavirus pandemic.

SCV Water’s gardening classes in Santa Clarita have been a boon to home gardeners throughout the valley, but will unfortunately remain canceled throughout 2020. Meanwhile, customers having trouble paying their balance can reach out to negotiate a payment plan.

The decision to cancel SCV Waters’ gardening classes in Santa Clarita was made in order to protect the public during the coronavirus pandemic. As a part of efforts to keep SCV Water staff and customers safe, the Conservatory Garden, along with other areas normally open to the public, will be closed until further notice.

Although Customer Care lobbies will also remain closed, external drop-boxes are available on-site and customers can schedule in-person meetings by appointment only.

Additionally, in an effort to aid community members who are “struggling due to loss of income during this challenging public health crisis,” SCV Water is set to suspend service fees and shut-offs of water services for a period of time. Officials from SCV Water report that they are working with customers to set up payment plans so that individuals hardest hit by the financial crisis can “avoid building up large balances.”

“We are reaching out in understanding to our customers who have fallen behind in payments,” SCV Water officials said. “Please call and let us work with you to establish a payment plan you can afford.”
