Every year, light displays across Santa Clarita neighborhoods illuminate the evenings leading up to Christmas Day, and this year is no different.
With the holiday spirit among the Santa Clarita Valley, KHTS has compiled a list of the most eye-catching light displays to bring in the season.
With Christmas almost one week away, it’s time to check out all the Christmas light displays in Santa Clarita. Fortunately, the city has some of the largest neighborhood displays around, so residents do not need to travel far.
Below is a list of the top streets to check out in 2021:
Wakefield Court – Saugus
With custom light-up signage of “Wakefield Winter Wonderland” draped across the street opening, Wakefield Court has long been recognized for their elaborate light displays ever since they began their community staple in light of the 1994 NorthRidge Earthquake.
Nicknamed Santa Clarita’s “Candy Cane Lane,” Wakefield Court is often-remembered by the red and white candy cane colors wrapping the street lights of the neighborhood near Copper Hill Drive and Haskell Canyon Road.
Wakefield Winter Wonderland has not only been brightening up the community during local tragedies, but also during the global pandemic in which minor adjustments have been made to its usual exhibit in an effort to accommodate for social distancing.
Last year, the Saugus neighborhood advertised that visitors must either adhere to the provided masking protocols when walking or simply tour the street from the comfort of their cars, according to last year’s guide.
In a tour by KHTS staff in early December, the lights strung across from house to house had already been set up as Saugus residents continued adding to their annual light displays.
Since the start of the pandemic, fewer houses have continued to participate, but extensive work continues to be put in by committed residents to brighten up the holiday season.
When approaching the festive street during the holidays, Wakefield Court is hard to miss with their sometimes hour-long lines of cars coming in both directions of tourists who are ready to bring in the season with blankets and hot chocolate in hand.
Wakefield Winter Wonderland is welcoming the community each day from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. up until Christmas Day, according to a statement from community members.
Welshfield Way – Valencia
Nicknamed Reindeer Lane, Welshfield Way in Valencia offers a holiday game where tourists are able to uncover and find Rudolph hidden within their neighborhood.
Homes lining Welshfield Way feature elaborative nativity scenes and cartoon-inspired decorations with lights above illuminating their neighborhood.
The cul-de-sac of Reindeer Lane is connected by lights strung from house to house, creating star-like imagery, covering the light displays below.
Located off of Grandview Drive, Welshfield Way provides a fun and interactive drive-thru experience between 5:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. throughout the holiday season with a shorter wait time.

Misty Ridge Place – Canyon Country
The Misty Right Light Show features multicolored, dancing light beams at one of the houses on Misty Ridge Place that is timed to the rhythm of select holiday songs.
Since Thanksgiving night, the home has put on light shows for the community to come visit from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
The homeowner encourages guests to bring food donations or cash to donate for the Romeoville Food Pantry. The most needed items include strawberry jelly, spaghetti sauce, canned tuna, instant potatoes and canned soups, according to the Misty Ridge Light Show FaceBook page.
The street, located just off of the intersection between the 14 Freeway and Via Princessa, is excited to showcase their newest lighting effects and songs to the Santa Clarita community.
While not every street has officially announced their holiday extravaganzas, the following is a list of streets that annually wow the community with their light displays:
Canterwood Drive – Saugus
This street’s light display features a 12-foot-tall Christmas tree at the end of the cul-de-sac. Canterwood Drive is located south of Copper Hill near Bouquet Canyon Road.
Homestead Place – Saugus
Renamed “Homestead Holiday” for the season, this street is located near Copper Hill Drive and Seco Canyon Road. Residents decorate everything from the road to their rooftops, stringing lights across the street from house to house.
Ash Court – Saugus
Ash Court is in Saugus, just off Seco Canyon Road. This street features lights and other festive decorations. Ash Court has been featured for many years in the KHTS Holiday Light Tour.
Clearidge Drive – Valencia
Clearidge Drive is located off Grandview Drive in Saugus and connects several cul-de-sacs that participate in the festivities. Essex Place is one of them, and gets called “Reindeer Road” because all eight houses on the street feature displays centered around one of Santa’s reindeer.
Brooks Circle – Stevenson Ranch
This is the longest street on the list, with neighbors stringing colorful lights over the street between more than 20 houses, creating a tunnel of lights. This Stevenson Ranch light display is located off Poe Parkway.
City Tour
If residents don’t feel like driving, they can use officials from the City of Santa Clarita as their chauffeurs. Santa Clarita Transit is offering a tour of some of the best-lit streets this season.
Residents can ride on the city’s classic wood trolley on a 45-minute tour. Tours depart from the McBean Regional Transit Center on the evenings between Friday and Saturday. For more information, click here.
