What: Sulphur Springs and William S. Hart Union School Districts are proud to host the third annual “Many Families, One Community” Family Resource Fair. Families will have an opportunity to attend free workshops and receive resources that touch on both academics as well as social needs of their child. Children ages 4-13 will have an opportunity to join a free kids’ program that is centered on providing enrichment activities while the families are attending the workshops.

2019 St. Francis Dam Disaster Lecture and Bus Tour presented by the SCV Historical Society

What: The Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society will commemorate the 91st anniversary of the second worst disaster in California history with its annual St. Francis Dam Disaster lecture and bus tour to the dam site in San Francisquito Canyon. The tour will begin with a presentation about the disaster at 11 a.m. to be given by Dr. Alan Pollack and Dianne Erskine-Hellrigel. At 12:30 pm, all ticketed guests will board a motor coach at Heritage Junction for a trip up to the dam site in San Francisquito Canyon and a hike to the dam ruins.
