What: The worldwide premiere of this inspirational celebration showcases over 30 original songs and extracts from international entertainer and composer Ruth Allen’s autobiography, “I’ll Still Be Me.” Featuring the London jazz pianist Alan Berry and the Ruth Allen Ensemble. All profits in aid of the Canyon Theatre Guild.

SCV Rose Society Annual Winter Rose Care Seminar

When: Sunday, Jan. 13 at 2:30 p.m.
Where: SCV Senior Center, 22900 Market Street in Santa Clarita

What: The seminar will feature award-winning Master Rosarians Bob Belendez and Kitty Belendez, who will demonstrate how to properly prune various types of roses. The master rosarians will also explain how to plant bareroot roses, how to rejuvenate roses grown in containers, and how to fertilize and mulch. The Rose Society will also have a door prize, raffle and refreshments after the seminar. There is no cost to attend, and the public is invited.
