Patriotic Pee-Wee Parade Photo Contest Entry Deadline
When: Deadline for submission is Friday, June 26 at 11:59 p.m.

What: The City of Santa Clarita is excited to present the first Patriotic Pee-Wee Parade! Residents are encouraged to design and build a miniature parade float, then capture a photo of it to be shared in an online photo gallery. Mini float submissions should be a small version of the traditional decorative floats we often see on, or pulled by, vehicles during a parade. Submissions should not be any larger than 3 feet long and 3 feet wide. Use materials around your home like construction paper, recycled materials, action figures, flowers and more to build your unique float. Pee-Wee parade float entries are due by Friday, June 26, at 11:59 p.m. The best overall mini float will be voted on by the public and additional category winners will be determined by City staff.

When: Registration from Monday, June 8 to Sunday, July 5; Event held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 3, 4 and 5

What: Santa Clarita Runners and the City of Santa Clarita are hosting a socially distanced Fourth of July Run. Runners can choose between a 5K (3.1 mile) or 10K (6.2 mile) course, with the option to do both. Although runners can complete their run anywhere socially distanced running is possible, the City will offer suggested routes that will have free parking and restrooms for the Fourth of July weekend. Results will be on the honor system. Runners and supporters are encouraged to give a donation to the Santa Clarita Runners Club to be passed on to high school cross country programs in Santa Clarita.

What: This summer, pack a picnic and get out of the house and into the beautiful LA County Regional Parks for a night under the stars at our Drive In Movie series. Each Friday and Saturday, “Drive-In At The Park” will feature a different double feature of classic films, with this weekend slated to show The NeverEnding Story and Back to the Future. Tickets can be purchased through the event website.
