They’re collecting everything from comic books and graphic novels to prose and textbooks. You can help by donating books at their store off of Lyons Avenue every day between noon and 3 p.m., as well as 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays!

What: William S. Hart had 11 total dogs throughout his time living in California – many of them called this mansion home. Learn about Hart’s Great Danes, Bulldogs and more. Take a tour of the dog cemetery and take an extra close look at the dog’s bedroom. Make a dog toy for your pup at home or to donate to a local shelter in the area. Leashed dogs are always welcome in the park however only service dogs will be allowed in the house.

  1. Please add to this schedule the demonstration scheduled for Thursday at McBean And Valencia to protest police brutality on our black brothers and sisters. Stand up for true American values.

    • If you need info on how to support black and brown lives, look to social media, rather than news. Lots of good information about how to mix water and baby shampoo to wash off tear gas. And mix water and baking soda to wash off pepper spray. And write bail support organization telephone numbers on your body in case of arrest. And ways to film and upload protest footage without endangering protesters lives. If you’re going be safe and smart. Peaceful is important, but there’s no guarantee others will be so you must prepare. Have extra for others.
