During the COVID-19 lockdowns and mandatory shutdowns of many local businesses, Mission Valley Bank has made it top priority to assist local businesses in any way they can.
“Mission Valley Bank is currently assisting businesses through outreach, and collecting data and information about just how the COVID-19 situation is impacting their business,” said Tamara Gurney, President, CEO & Director of Mission Valley Bancorp & Bank.
One business that Mission Valley Bank was able to assist was accufRATE in Valencia.
“From the time we called them on a Friday to the time I called them on a Monday they already had information on it(Paycheck Protection Program), and what they are going to be doing and how they are going to be handling it,” said Harry Ekmekjian, president of accufRATE.

“We are filling out questionnaires to compile data and looking for trends to see if there is something specific we can learn from that,” said Gurney.
By doing this, Gurney believes that they can assist many businesses that are dealing with the same or similar issues.
Mission Valley Bank has a service philosophy which is based on truly knowing their clients, working to understand their unique financial needs and responding with solid solutions that will help them achieve their goals.
