Get A Grip On Hypertension Options For Long-Term Results

Here’s how to avoid one of the most serious chronic illnesses, hypertension or high blood pressure — the Silent Killer

By Dr. Thomas Polucki

Like many life-threatening diseases, hypertension or high blood pressure has no symptoms until you are in a life-or-death situation.

And while medications for hypertension may be necessary at that point, they do nothing to resolve the underlying causes.

Anti-hypertensive medications often need to be adjusted because the real health issue is not being addressed.

High blood pressure medications always have side effects ranging from mild to life-threatening.heart-drpolucki

In order for an anti-hypertensive to be considered effective, it must be able to drop blood pressure at least 5 points. Research indicates that within the most common range of hypertensive patients, this five-point drop substantially reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke.

There are several simple lifestyle upgrades that can achieve more than a five-point reduction in blood pressure.
