Movement Of Pilates: Exercises To Do At Home

According to the dictionary, Pilates is defined “as a system of exercises using special apparatus, designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture, and enhance mental awareness.”

Santa Clarita has a Pilates studio called Movement of Pilates that helps people get their body moving and focus their mind on wellness. They specialize in almost every fitness level so if you are suffering with an agony injury, Movement of Pilates helps with the problem.

The Pilate classes they have to offer are: private session, group equipment, express, therapeutic stretch, and scolio.

The instructors are dedicated and passionate in their teaching to help those in need. They all have areas where they specialize in to help someone with a specific need.

Most of the time people get busy and cannot make a session, which can sometimes discourage the person wanting to attend sessions. However, people who cannot attend a class session still have the ability to use the comfort of their home as their own studio. Almost no equipment is needed, which makes it easier to do the exercises so pick a place on the floor and start these workouts:

  • Glute bridges
  • Lying legs extension
  • Side lying leg abduction
  • Back Extensions
  • Deadlift upright row
  • Lying windshield wiper
  • Single leg stretch
  • Swimming pose

These are a few easy workouts that anyone can do to start on their Pilate workouts. Start off with 15 reps with each workout and work your way up to improve your exercises. Remember to inhale and exhale when appropriate according to the workout.

It is good to start in the morning for 20 minutes at the most to boost your well-being. This will give your mind and body a refreshing and relaxing day ahead.

Most people have injuries that they want to focus on in Pilates. In Santa Clarita, Movement of Pilates helps people who suffer from back, leg, and arm pain. These types of workouts can be done at home if the person cannot attend their session that day. For example, those who have back problems can do the child’s pose where you are on your knees, and cover the floor with your body so that your head meets the floor while your hands are in front of you.

Take the first step on improving your mind and body by booking a session with Santa Clarita’s Movement of Pilates!
