New Global Adventures, LLC., partnering with Grit OCR, LLC., is bringing a new style of fitness to the Santa Clarita Valley: Grit OCR, an interactive obstacle course race designed to challenge the trainee to push themselves to new limits.

The course will be located in the hills of Santa Clarita, and will feature over six miles of trails, grueling hills, breathtaking views and a race festival to top it all off.

“The Santa Clarita mountains are the perfect place for an OCR event,” says Mariela Mariscal.

The draw to obstacle training not only targets adults, but their children as well. Children in Santa Clarita and the greater Los Angeles area as young as three years old can be seen off the couch and on the course, following the example of their parents.

Grit also hosts a kids event, “Grit OCR Kids Race,” that is specifically designed to challenge children while having fun at the same time.

In addition, Grit OCR provides a more fun alternative than the traditional gym, giving locals more options to maintain their fitness levels.

The race will be hosted on February 17, 2018 at the East Walker Ranch Open Space in Santa Clarita, and will feature a 10K trail course that features a variety of over 20 obstacles to choose from.

Each obstacle course will put strength, agility and endurance to the test, and will also feature a penalty option that participants can use to bypass an obstacle they deem too challenging.

Registration for the Grit Obstacle Course race in Santa Clarita is now open to the public on the Grit OCR website.

Community participation in these races will help support the local Wildlife Waystation, Global Adventure Kids, and ChowChow.org.
