An orthodontist in Santa Clarita is continuing new COVID-19 protocols since the office re-opened in June, “keeping you and your smile healthy.”

“Keeping our patients and team safe has always been a priority,” said Embrace Your Smile Orthodontics officials. “So with the additional measures put forth by the CDC, OSHA and ADA, we will continue to make sure our office is operating in a safe and healthy environment for everyone.”

A few changes patients can expect to see include the brushing station temporarily closed, video games and toys removed from the waiting room and barriers placed throughout the office for social distancing and sanitation. 

In addition, patients will be asked COVID-related screening questions before their visit, have their temperatures taken at check-in and be required to bring their own masks to wear. The use of hand sanitizer is encouraged during check-in and check-out. 

Upon arrival, patients can check in at the front desk and leave their cell phone number so they can wait in their car to be called back inside, allowing enough time for enhanced disinfection between patients.

Only one guardian and patients with appointments are allowed, with patients asked to reschedule if anyone in their household has been sick in the last two weeks. 

Doctors and staff will go through the same check-in process every morning when arriving at the office, and have increased their use of personal protective equipment.
