An orthodontist in Santa Clarita is explaining the different kinds of braces, ranging from traditional metal to more modern invisible braces.

Embrace Your Smile Orthodontics noted that metal braces are the most common type, but that they aren’t the braces many people have heard “questionable stories” about.
“With today’s advanced, space-aged technology, these sleek and stylish brackets are comfortable, and move your teeth more efficiently than ever before,” officials said. “Developed with surgical grade stainless steel, these braces straighten your teeth using metal brackets and wires that are less noticeable.”
A fun new twist on metal braces is the ability of a Santa Clarita orthodontist to add a patient’s team colors to their braces, or to add unique color combinations to match special events.
“Colors are simple elastics added to the braces, and may be changed at each appointment,” officials said.

However, ceramic braces that feature clear or tooth-colored braces could be considered “a more esthetic option,” according to the orthodontist in Santa Clarita.
Made from ceramic or porcelain materials, these braces are less visible, making them appealing to adults in particular.
“If you choose our esthetic braces, our team will be happy to answer all of your questions and cover all aspects of the difference in care,” Embrace Your Smile Orthodontics officials said.
Another popular option is invisible aligners, in the form of removable trays that straighten teeth.
“If you are unsure whether or not braces are for you, ask us whether or not you may be a candidate for aligner treatment,” officials said. “This is one of our most popular options for teens and adults.”
Other benefits to invisible aligners is there are fewer dietary restrictions than braces, oral hygiene is easier to maintain, and there are usually no lip or cheek issues because there are no metal braces in the mouth, according to Embrace Your Smile Orthodontics.
The last kind of braces the Santa Clarita orthodontist mentioned is incognito lingual braces, which feature customized braces on the back side of the teeth so they are hidden from view.
“Since they are completely customized for you, Incognito Hidden Braces offer many treatment options which can treat nearly any orthodontic issue,” officials said. “No matter which option you choose, no one will know you’re wearing braces unless you tell them.”
Embrace Your Smile Orthodontics officials concluded, “Schedule your complimentary evaluation with Dr. Gilbertson, Dr. LeCornu and Dr. Weber today. We will discuss which option is best for you.”
