Santa Clarita Hearing Center Is Where You Can Find Your Hearing Aid

For many who are in the position where they cannot hear as efficiently as they used to or hear as well as they would like to, budget is a key factor that determines their hearing devices, and it really shouldn’t be.

When finding a solution to better hearing and a higher quality of life, the most important factor you should look for is quality and expertise. Finding hearing aids at low cost in a retail market is seen as the easiest route, but it is never the most efficient route.

Dr. Ginny Veloz of Santa Clarita Hearing Center discusses on The Senior Hour Radio Show about how many people get tricked, misinformed, and cheated when buying and searching for efficient hearing aids in the wrong places.

Where You Shouldn’t Be Buying

“I’m not going to get my medical devices where I buy my toilet paper,” Dr. Veloz said.

She refers to the fact that at big retail stores across America it is often too easy to find anything and everything you might need, even medical supplies/devices in a place that is also a grocery store.

Although this could be seen as a convenience for many, Dr. Veloz warns people they should not ever purchase medical devices or get medical treatment in places where there are no doctors or experts.

When buying these hearing aids, you are not buying from a doctor, you are buying from a salesperson. That salesperson is in no way responsible for any diagnosing or treatment before and after the purchase.

On the other hand, when buying and receiving medical devices from an audiologist or professional you would buy from an expert who would be there to answer questions and concerns.

What’s The Difference?

If a big box store hearing aid breaks down and you need help, you don’t send it in for repair, you end up paying out of pocket for a new replacement. Some manufacturing hearing aids even lock the software in the hearing aid so other people such as Dr. Veloz can’t help people who come to her for hearing aid repair.

Avoiding these locked hearing aids will help you find professional experts in audiology. When you purchase from providers such as Santa Clarita Hearing Center, you get the proper treatment, diagnosis, devices, and device maintenance.
