Santa Clarita Hearing Center is offering its senior patients the option of no-contact services for basic hearing aid maintenance, with no need for the senior to even leave their home.

“It’s a very interesting time for us, because the people who need our services at Santa Clarita Hearing Center tend to be on the older side, and we’re really encouraging people not to leave their homes because of COVID,” said Dr. Ginny Veloz. 

As a result, Veloz and her team are offering to come to senior patients’ homes to pick up hearing aids in need of basic maintenance services on a no-contact basis.

“If there’s somebody who is wearing hearing aids that simply needs a cleaning, batteries, filters, things like that, we are happy to go by the house,” Veloz said, noting that the hearing aids can be left out on the front porch so no contact is needed. 

Santa Clarita Hearing Center staff will let the patient know when they plan to stop by to pick up the hearing aid, and will bring it back to their office to complete the necessary services. 

“(We’ll) do what needs to be done and then return them to you with batteries or whatever supplies you might need,” Veloz said. “That way, you stay home, everybody stays safe, no contact — that’s what we really encourage right now.”
