When I was younger I was a controlling parent, a controlling style of parent, Alex said. I was the boss, I was the manager.
It wasn’t until I got more conscious when I was able to shift my train of thought and change my parenting style, Alex said.

When we start parenting we think we have a grasp on things but we have no idea, Erin said. I want to highlight that as parents we beat ourself up a lot but we really shouldn’t.
But what I tell parents is that, it is never too late to have a better and healthier relationship with your children.
At the core of parenting a lot of the time, is fear, Alex said.
