Santa Clarita country rock-blues singer-songwriter-guitarist, bandleader and SCVTV “House Blend” star Sean Wiggins plays her first gig at Wine 661 in Valencia with new guitarist Cary Park on Saturday night. You might have heard his fleet-fingered fretwork on a couple of No. 1 hits by country singer Deanna Carter.

Sean and Cary will feature tunes from Sean’s most recent album, “Clothing Optional Fridays,” and more chestnuts from her half-dozen-deep album catalog. Showtime’s 8:30 to 11:30. Call Wine 661 at 661-288-2980 for more info about the venue.

Catch Wiggins now before she takes off on a major tour of the Midwest in May. Visit her website at http://seanwiggins.com for further info about her, the album and tour, and her kickin’ band lOne gOat.

Longtime Spencer Davis Group B-3 player and Santa Clarita local Jim Blazer has been gigging lately with the Alan Wright Band. Their next local show is at JJ’s Bar & Grill on Tournament Road on Sunday, partying on the patio from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The lineup features Alan Wright (guitar, vocals), Dave Grover (bass), Art Mendoza (drums) and Blazer on the big ol’ Hammond. Find out more about the band here and JJ’s here.

On a local TV programming note, the Santa Clarita Valley’s community TV station SCVTV will present an encore broadcast featuring the aforementioned Sean Wiggins on “House Blend” hosted by yours truly on Saturday night at 10.

It’s one of the highlights of our third season, and also includes songs from her latest album. If you missed the show, here’s your chance to catch up. If you caught it, you know the show’s worthy of an encore, so tune in.

“House Blend” airs Saturday nights on SCVTV in Los Angeles and Orange counties and streams at scvtv.com. All 69 original “House Blend” episodes are also viewable on-demand at scvhouseblend.com.
