Jeff Ford Selected For SCV Water Agency Board By Supervisor Kathryn Barger

Jeff Ford has been selected to serve on the SCV Water Agency board by Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, officials announced Monday.

A Santa Clarita resident, Ford has previously worked for the Castaic Lake Water Agency, the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, the South Coast Air Quality Management District and the Cities of Los Angeles and Simi Valley.

“Jeff’s knowledge and experience will be an invaluable asset to the Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency and its dedicated group of experts,” Barger said. “He is in tune with local water issues and shares my commitment to ensuring the delivery of quality and affordable water to the Santa Clarita Valley.

Ford is currently a senior scientist at Kennedy/Jenks Consultants, and plans to vacate this position upon his appointment to the SCV Water Agency board, officials said.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote on Ford’s appointment at their meeting on Sept. 24.  The next SCV Water Agency board meeting is slated for Oct. 1.

The seat was recently vacated by Dante Acosta after he accepted another position out of state, and the seat is set to expire at the end of 2023.
