Valerie Bradford Announces Candidacy For SCV Water Agency Board Of Directors

Valerie Bradford, a resident of Santa Clarita and a small business owner, announced Monday her intention to seek a seat for the Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency (SCV Water) board of directors.

Bradford is the first African American female to ever pursue election on the board of directors for SCV Water, according to her campaign.

The candidate has been a resident of Santa Clarita for 15 years and resides with her husband Charles. She is a graduate of College of the Canyons as well as a small business owner with organizational skills and over 24 years of experience in management, budgeting and employee relations.

Bradford has experience in aiding the homeless and organizing community outreach has taught Bradford that she has “a heart to serve” as an advocate for people and causes she cares about, according to a statement.

As a member of the SCV Water Agency’s board, Bradford plans to make environmental conservation a priority as Santa Clarita grows and its water supply continues to expand with it. In a statement, she asserts that her goal is to ensure Santa Clarita residents are provided with “Clean, Reliable, Sustainable Water”. 

Additionally, Bradford states that she “will place the concerns and issues of our residents before those of…new housing developers when making important decisions about our water.”

  1. She is a great candidate. She would be such an asset on this Board. She has good financial background to help analyze the budget and expenditures, so needed.

  2. Valerie Branford has some interesting followers. Saw them flipping off a man campaigning on a street corner in Valencia. I guess if you don’t agree with someone’s politics Valerie Bradford supporters feel entitled to tell you Off! Keeping it classy leftists! Valerie must be so proud.
