Valladares Releases Statement On Governor Newsom’s Revised Budget Proposal

Assemblymember Suzette Martinez Valladares, R-Santa Clarita, released the following statement Friday about the Governor’s revised budget proposal, emphasizing the gas tax.

“Gas prices are now the highest in history, with Californians paying more gas tax than anywhere else in the country — and we are still months away from rebate checks,” Valladares said. “We can and must suspend the gas tax immediately to give working families some relief. It’s not partisan, and California can afford it.”

Assemblymember Valladares is just one of several of our state leaders fighting for the gas tax to be suspended in Santa Clarita and California as a whole.

  1. California Politicians have stolen so much money from the taxpayers that they have nearly 100 billion “extra” dollars. Instead of giving it back in cash or a credit on next year’s tax they are finding ways of spending it on more of those projects that corruptly put money in their own pockets.

    • DemonicTaxRats spending your money on jack@ss orgies.

    • Newsom sure sounded proud when he announced the “surplus”.. does the dummy even realize it’s TAX money, money taken from honest hard working citizens so he can fund his pet projects?? Like Medical care for every illegal !! Bullcrap to him! Those of us who work shouldn’t pay for illegals or lazy people!
I can’t wait until I can leave this state!

  2. It disgust me that my own cousins voted to retain Newsom. Democrats refuse to see the destruction their party causes .. all because mean tweets. Gas was under $3.00 a gallon until biden & company went into the White House, so Biden blaming Russia is asinine! Gas went up shortly after he closed the pipeline.

  3. Wake up people. Our state is in ruins thanks to Newsom and his sheep in Sacramento. We must vote him out of office!

  4. Even if Newsom runs again, the Idiot Sheeple will probably blindly vote him in despite not voting his recall—-what a bunch of Liberal Hebetudes! The Idiot Sheeple deserve what they get for resisting the Liberal brainwashing!

  5. Oil refineries on the Gulf Coast have been damaged by hurricanes.
Distribution costs have gone up. Unexpected disruptions interfere. The ransomware attack on the Colonial pipeline shut it down for a week.
Federal taxes add about 18cents a gallon & states add on to that, sometimes up to another 31 cents. In some states, about 30,they have suspended or given holiday to the prices.
Oil companies make most of the profit, with drilling and exploration.
Apparently the price of a gallon of gas in June 2008, with the adjusted cost of inflation, puts the cost of a gallon of gas at that time equivalent to $5.38.

  6. 99 cent store gas tablets can help you!
