Recently, Representative Mike Garcia (R-Santa Clarita) and other members of the MACH 1 Caucus met with Israeli Air Force Pilots at Capitol Hill.
As a part of the Jewish Institute for National Security of America’s (JINSA) Military Leadership Education Program, Garcia and other representatives in the MACH 1 Caucus met with twelve pilots from the Israeli Air Force at Capitol Hill this Thursday.
“The conversation between these pilots and members of the MACH 1 Caucus is critical to the U.S.-Israel partnership,” Garcia said.
The MACH 1 caucus was founded in February of 2022. The caucus is dedicated to educating others regarding policy issues that are important to fighter pilots.
According to officials, Garcia, the MACH 1 caucus, and Israeli service members discussed broad security challenges and the relationship between the U.S. and Israel at the conference.
“It was an honor to meet with these heroes, and I am grateful for their service to Israel and the world,” Garcia said.
In an annual tradition, active duty service members from both the U.S. and Israel joined.
“With a shared background in military aviation, the robust discussion strengthened and deepened mutual understanding that contributes to the security of both nations,” the JINSA announced after the meeting.
