A teenage male was freed Thursday evening after getting trapped in a concrete structure in Valencia for 20 minutes, officials said.
Around 8 p.m. Thursday evening firefighters received reports of a person stuck in a concrete tunnel near McBean Parkway and Decoro drive in Valencia, said Martin Rangel, a dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“When units arrived on scene they confirmed a male was trapped,” Rangel said. “They request extra equipment to extricate the patient, but firefighters freed him before the other equipment arrived on scene.”
The male who was trapped in the concrete structure, Vincent Jordan, 15, told KHTS they were going to take pictures for Instagram.
“Don’t do it for the ‘Gram, it hurts,” Jordan said.
His friend who called 9-1-1 said that Jordan was trapped for about 20 minutes before firefighters were able to free him from the structure.
Jordan suffered minor injuries to his wrist, but no major injuries were sustained during the incident.
No one was transported, according to officials.
