Slater’s 50/50, a restaurant dedicated to “burgers, bacon and beer” combinations, is set to open one of their newest locations in Santa Clarita, officials said.
Founded in 2009 in Anaheim Hills, Slater’s 50/50 officials are native to SoCal and have a passion for burgers, bacon and craft beer and a disdain for the boring, states the company website.
The “rebel gastropub” has won numerous awards and has been recognized by various local, regional and national media outlets, according to company officials.
Slater’s 50/50 currently operates 11 full-service restaurants in California, Nevada, Texas and Hawaii. The location at the Westfield Valencia Town Center would be the 12th.
“Our guests fuel our pride in delivering a Slater’s 50/50 experience centered on top-notch service and the freshest, highest-quality ingredients available in an environment that’s relaxed, fun, and most importantly, designed to be customizable to our guests’ preferences,” state company officials on the website.
Jason Crawford, the City of Santa Clarita’s planning, marketing and economic development manager, stated that the new restaurant was a promising addition to the Santa Clarita business community.
“We’ve talked with the folks over there at Slater’s and they’re anticipating to open right around the beginning of 2020,” said Crawford. “We think they’ll be a great addition to this area.”
Slater’s 50/50 is set to open at the former location of Sisley’s Italian Kitchen at 24201 Valencia Blvd in the Westfield Valencia Town Center.
The company Facebook page announced that the new restaurant is set to open sometime in December, although no official grand opening date has been announced as of Sept. 3.
