Slater’s 50/50, a restaurant dedicated to “burgers, bacon and beer” combinations, is set to finally open a new location in Santa Clarita on Thursday after months of delays, officials said.
Founded in 2009 in Anaheim Hills, Slater’s 50/50 officials are native to SoCal and have a passion for burgers, bacon and craft beer and a disdain for the boring, states the company website.
The “rebel gastropub” has won numerous awards and has been recognized by various local, regional and national media outlets, according to company officials.
The Valencia Slater’s 50/50 is the newest venture of local businessowner Homayoun Daryani, former owner of Persia Lounge, which converted to a catering-only business model last year.
“We will be observing all COVID-19 regulations, social distancing & masks will be required to enter,” said a spokesperson for Valencia Slater’s in a Facebook post Friday.
For the time being, dine-in experiences are only available with a reservation made through Yelp.
Slater’s 50/50 operates 11 restaurants in California, Nevada, Texas and Hawaii, however only seven locations are currently open due to various coronavirus shutdown restrictions.
“Our guests fuel our pride in delivering a Slater’s 50/50 experience centered on top-notch service and the freshest, highest-quality ingredients available in an environment that’s relaxed, fun, and most importantly, designed to be customizable to our guests’ preferences,” state company officials on the website.
Originally planned to open near the beginning of the year, a series of delays, including the months-long shutdown of restaurants due to the coronavirus pandemic, caused the grand opening to be pushed back to early summer. .
Slater’s 50/50 is set to open at the former location of Sisley’s Italian Kitchen at 24201 Valencia Blvd in the Westfield Valencia Town Center.
The company Facebook page offers more information on special offers and dine-in reservations or visit their website here.
