Golden Valley senior and three-time Foothill League Player of the Year Elisa Pierre shot a 1-over 71 Thursday at the WSCGA Southern California Golf Championship at Goose Creek Golf Club in Mira Loma.
Pierre now advances to the CIF State Championships to be held next Tuesday, Nov. 17 at the Poppy Hills Golf Course in Pebble Beach.
“It’s great to be back again, especially in my senior year,” Pierre said “That’s what I wanted more than anything was to get back to state.”
“She’s the first one to ever make it to the state championship twice,” said Tony Moskal, Golden Valley girl’s golf coach. “In my opinion, she is the best high school golfer to ever come out of the Santa Clarita Valley. Above all else, she’s a great kid.”
