Santa Clarita Sports Report: January 16, 2015: The Master’s College women’s basketball team beat Arizona Christian, 90-57.

Megan Lindsley scored 21 points and was 9-for-11 from the field. She made three 3-pointers.

The Lady Mustangs improved to 13-4.

The Master’s College men’s basketball team lost to Arizona Christian, 78-70, in a Golden State Athletic Conference game.

The Master’s College men dropped to 5-10 and 0-5 in conference.

The College of the Canyons women’s basketball team beat LA Valley College, 84-46, in a Western State Conference, South Division game.

Jordan Oster, making her first start of the season, scored 21 points and made five 3-pointers.

The Lady Cougars improved to 12-6 overall and 2-1 in conference.

The College of the Canyons men’s basketball team lost to LA Valley College, 81-72. The Cougars dropped to 9-7 overall and 1-2 in the Western State Conference, South Division.

In high school basketball, the Hart girls beat Canyon, 64-53. Hart improved to 13-4 overall and won their Foothill League opener.

Sophia Jackson scored 21 points for Hart.

In high school soccer, the West Ranch girls shut out Valencia, 2-0, in the Foothill League opener. It was the first time West Ranch has won a game against Valencia in school history.

The Saugus girls beat Golden Valley, 2-1, in their Foothill League opener.

The Trinity boys soccer team beat Santa Clarita Christian, 4-2.

In the NBA, the Lakers lost to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, 109-102. The Lakers have lost three games in a row.

They will try to break their losing streak against the Jazz in Utah tonight.
