Santa Clarita Christian and the high-octane Cardinals offense welcomes league foe Capistrano Valley to Canyon High School on Saturday night. Tristan Miller is looking like the San Joaquin League MVP, leading in passing touchdowns and passing yards.

This is the classic trap game, with next weekend against Saddleback Valley Christian likely for the league title. No complacency here from the Cards.

Trinity is heading out to San Pedro to face Mary Star of the Sea tonight. At 4-2, the Knights have had about as good a debut in 11-man football as can be expected, with do-everything player Ian Caddow gaining recognition around the Santa Clarita Valley for his stellar season.

COC Football

The Cougars are fresh off their bye and heading in to the stretch run to a WSC title. Crunch time starts this Saturday afternoon against Allan Hancock.

It’s a 2pm start on Military Appreciation Day. An undefeated conference schedule remains a great possibility for #3 Canyons.

The Master’s College

The TMC Mustangs’ soccer teams are both in crucial home matches Saturday against the best the GSAC has to offer in Biola University. Be sure to get out to Reese Field Saturday afternoon for two great games of (the other) football.

Mustangs’ volleyball’s quest for a GSAC title is back on the court tonight after five days off. They take on San Diego Christian on Bross Court (hopefully to avenge the soccer team’s home losses earlier this week as well) in the first of three straight home matches. The key to the Mustangs’ season will be these next three matches.

Postseason Baseball

World Series scheduling arrangements still can’t be made for the New York Mets, who await the winner of the ALDS between Toronto and Kansas City. This series has been all about high-powered offense, with the winner of each game scoring no fewer than five runs.

Expect much of the same tonight in Kansas City. It’s Price vs Ventura, with first pitch coming at 5:07pm.
