TMU Women’s Soccer Opens NAIA Tournament Play In Alabama

The Master’s University Mustangs are in Orange Beach, Alabama, competing for the NAIA championship for the first time since 2014.

The No. 11 Mustangs (15-5-1) started the season white hot winning 11 of their first 12 matches before cooling off toward the finish line with a 4-4-1 record the rest of the way, but did just enough to get by Olivet Nazarene 1-0 in the Opening Round to advance to the NAIA Tournament.

Second Round action kicks off today, with the Mustangs taking on At-Large bid Tennessee Wesleyan. Tennessee Wesleyan upset No. 6 Keiser 2-1 to advance.

Tied 37-37 after three quarters, the Centurions turned it on in the fourth quarter to knock off Burbank at home.
