W2W4 – What 2 Watch 4 – Big Games In Santa Clarita Sports

What To Watch For: The biggest games in Santa Clarita sports previewed here.

Valencia (23-5) vs. Crespi (17-12)

Boys Basketball

Friday, 7 p.m., Valencia High School

Valencia enjoyed a first-round bye to begin the CIF Division 1 playoffs and was officially matched up with Crespi after the Celts were able to pick up a road win over Crescenta Valley on Tuesday in the playoffs’ opening round. Valencia finished the season on a strong note after a surprising loss to Hart, finishing out their last three games with wins while averaging 84 points per game.

Saugus (23-4) vs. St. Anthony/Cajon

Girls Basketball

Saturday, 7 p.m., Saugus High School

Saugus was also able to secure a first-round bye, but they won’t know who they’ll face to start their playoff run until after Thursday night’s batch of games. Whether they face St. Anthony High School or Cajon High School, Saugus has an opportunity to take the first step towards the creation of a lasting legacy with a deep playoff run after an already special, undefeated Foothill League season.

Hart (16-2-3) vs. Montebello (14-7-5)

Boys Soccer

Friday, Montebello High School

Hart picked up a big win in the first round of the CIF Division 3 playoffs against Royal. The Indians traded scores in the first half but poured it on the second and finished the game 7-2. They’ll look to carry that offensive potency on the road with them as they attempt to continue their playoff run against Montebello on Friday.

Santa Clarita Christian (10-4-1) vs. Le Lycee (4-4-1)

Girls Soccer

Thursday, 5 p.m., Central Park Field No. 4

After a season in which Santa Clarita Christian School (SCCS) was outright dominant for stretches, they have a chance to carry that prowess into the postseason with an opening round matchup against Le Lycee. SCCS averaged more than eight points per game in their last three matches of the season and will look to put that offensive firepower on display Thursday afternoon.
