A bicyclist was airlifted Saturday afternoon after reportedly crashing on Viper Mountain Bike Trail in Santa Clarita.
Around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, emergency responders received reports of a medical emergency off of Placerita Canyon Road on the Viper Mountain Bike Trail in the Angeles National Forest, according to Cheryl Simms, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The injuries were reportedly caused by a crash that occurred on the trail, according to officials.
“The bicyclist possibly has a fractured arm,” Simms said.
The exact cause of the crash remains unknown as of 2:30 p.m.
