A 5-year old child was airlifted by helicopter in Valencia after suffering from a medical emergency on Tuesday afternoon.

At around 1:16 p.m. first responders received a call of a sick child at Sterling Lane in Valencia, according to spokesperson Marcia Garcan from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

A helicopter was called into the scene and the child and a parent was taken to West Creek Park.
