A series of earthquakes ranging in magnitude from 2.2 to 4.9 struck in Anza Friday evening, with residents in Canyon Country reportedly feeling the tremors.
Between 6:53 p.m. and 6:56 p.m. on Friday, eight separate earthquakes ranging in magnitude from 2.2 to 4.9 struck in Anza, located roughly 140 miles southeast of Santa Clarita, according to officials with the United States Geological Survey.
Despite the distance between the two locations, residents in eastern Canyon Country reported feeling the tremors.
No damage or injuries were reported in Santa Clarita as a result of the earthquakes.
