Nearly 9,000 Southern California Edison customers in Valencia went without power Friday afternoon as a result of a reported “repair outage.”
Just before 3:40 p.m. Friday, officials with Southern California Edison received multiple reports of a power outage near Rio Norte Junior High School in Valencia.
The outage left an estimated 8,942 customers in the area without power, according to the SoCalEdison Outage Center.
While the problem was still being analyzed as of 4 p.m. Friday, officials estimated that most residents would have power restored by 4:21 p.m. Friday.
