Over 1,100 customers with Southern California Edison (SCE) were without electricity in Castaic Monday afternoon due to a power outage.
At around 12:40 p.m. Monday, residents living near lower Castaic Lake began to report a loss of power.
SCE officials confirmed that they had received reports of the Castaic power outage due to an unknown reason, disclosing that an estimated 1,177 of their customers were impacted as a result.
Power is expected to be returned to most affected customers by 1:43 p.m. Monday, according to SCE.
