A car fire on the northbound 14 freeway spread to the brush was extinguished before noon Sunday, officials said.
Reports were received just before 11:30 a.m. of a vehicle fire on the Northbound 14 freeway near Golden Valley Road.
“We are on scene of a vehicle fire and a small spot brush fire,” said an official from Los Angeles County Fire Department Command and Control. “It was a small spot but they got it under control.”
When units arrived on scene, the vehicle was found to be “fully involved” with a slight spread of fire to the nearby brush.
No injuries were reported in relation to the incident, according to officials.
The vehicle fire is said to be blocking the center lane and may affect northbound traffic, according to California hIghway Patrol logs.
