The Acton Fire has broken out Monday afternoon, threatening at least one structure, officials said.
UPDATE: 1:25 p.m. — Forward progress on the Acton Fire has been stopped at just over 12 acres, according to a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

UPDATE: 12:20 p.m. — The brush fire, dubbed the Acton Fire, has reached an estimated five to 10 acres, according to Fire officials.
Original Story: The brush fire in Acton was reported at about 11:45 a.m. Monday near the 33100 block of Merritt Road, according to Leslie Lua, spokesperson for Los Angeles County Fire Department.
As of 12 p.m. Monday, the fire has reached about one-and-a-half acres, running uphill in heavy brush, according to Fire officials.
At least one structure is threatened due to the Acton Fire, according to Lua.
Smoke from the blaze has been seen as far as Santa Clarita, according to a battalion chief en route to the fire.
No injuries have been reported from the fire as of 12 p.m. Monday.
