A small brush fire near a church in Castaic was quickly brought under control by firefighters Sunday night.
Just after 10 p.m. Sunday, emergency responders received reports of a possible brush fire on the 33100 block of Lake Hughes Road near Lake Hills Community Church, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) officials.
“It was about a quarter acre,” said a spokesperson for the LACoFD.
The fire reportedly burned nearby trees, however there was no threat to any buildings.
The blaze was brought under control within half an hour.
