A brush fire dubbed the Bouquet Fire reached a quarter acre in size before progress was stopped Thursday afternoon.
At around 5 p.m. Thursday, first responders received reports of a brush fire near the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and Bouquet Canyon Road in Santa Clarita, according to Supervisor Melanie Flores with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“They have the fire under control,” Flores said. “Initially, they said there was a structure threatened, but they got a handle on it way before it got to the structure.”
Forward progress of the fire was stopped at 5:11 p.m.
Fire officials did not report any property damage or injuries resulting from the fire.
