The Gold Fire in Castaic broke out in a home near Parker Road Friday evening, prompting a response from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
UPDATE (6:40 p.m.): Knockdown has been declared on the Gold Fire, according to an official with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
No injuries were reported, and the exact cause of the incident was unclear as of Friday evening.
(Original Post): At around 6:10 p.m. Friday, officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a structure fire on the 28000 block of Gold Hill Drive in Castaic.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a single-story home with “light smoke showing from the attic,” according to Supervisor Flores with the department.
No injuries were reported in connection with the structure fire.
Firefighters were still on scene as of 6:30 p.m. Friday.
The exact cause of the incident was unclear as of Friday evening.
