An electrical panel fire affected the yard of a Santa Clarita home Thursday afternoon.
At around 7 p.m. Thursday, first responders received reports of a house fire in the 24000 block of Rotunda Road in Santa Clarita, according to Supervisor Michael Pittman with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“The original report was that there was an electrical panel fire,” Pittman said. “It turned out to be a small outdoor fire in an electrical panel.”
The fire was extinguished by around 7:15 p.m., according to Pittman.
A power outage occurred on the block where the home is located, according to local residents. No information was provided as to the time of expected power restoration, according to the Southern California Edison Outage Center.
No injuries or major traffic impacts were reported as a result of the fire.
