The Ridge Fire in Gorman has broken out, threatening at least one structure, officials said.
UPDATE (6:45 p.m.): Forward progress on the Ridge Fire has been stopped after to growing to an estimated 300 acres in size, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

UPDATE (5:25 p.m.): The Ridge Fire has grown to 200 acres in size, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
UPDATE (4:45 p.m.): The Ridge Fire has grown to 100 acres in size, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
A SIG-Alert has been issued for an unknown duration for both directions of State Route 138 near Old Ridge Route Road as officials continue to battle the rapidly-growing blaze.

Original Post: The Ridge Fire was first reported at about 3:46 p.m. Monday near Highway 138 and Lancaster Road, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
As of 4:10 p.m., the fire has reached about four aces, threatening at least one structure, prompting evacuations, according to fire officials.
A second alarm responds has been requested due to the fire spotting on the opposite side of Highway 138, according to the department.
