A Santa Clarita structure fire has prompted a response from firefighters Wednesday, officials said.
Around 10:26 a.m. Wednesday, firefighters received reports of smoke in the 19300 block of Opal Lane in Canyon Country, said Austin Bennett, a spokesperson with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
When units arrived on scene, they located smoke inside an apartment and requested a full first-alarm structure response, Bennett said.
At 10:46 a.m., firefighters forced entry into the apartment and located the source of the fire, according to Fire officials.
“It was a water heater fire in the garage,” Bennett said.
There were no reported injuries, according to Fire officials.
