A Santa Clarita structure fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters Monday morning.
Around 8:25 a.m. Monday, first responders received reports of a structure fire on the 21400 block of Tumbleweed Way in Canyon Country, said Cheryl Sims, a dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It was reported as a kitchen fire,” Sims said.
By 8:39 a.m., firefighters were able to have the kitchen fire extinguished, according to Sims.
The fire spread to nearby grass, however, crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading.
As of 9 a.m., no injuries have been reported, according to Fire officials.
