Smoke from the Lime Fire near Lake Piru can reportedly be seen from Santa Clarita as the blaze has grown to nearly 75 acres in size.
The Lime Fire near Lake Piru has grown to nearly 75 acres in size as of 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, and residents of Stevenson Ranch and Valencia are reportedly seeing smoke from the blaze on the western horizon.

Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to investigate possible smoke near The Old Road and found nothing, according to officials.
Two crew strike teams from the Los Angeles County Fire Department have been sent to assist the Ventura County Fire Department in Piru, according to officials.
As of 6:30 p.m., no active fires had been reported within the Santa Clarita Valley.

If the fire is not contained, Hasley Canyon and Val Verde are right in the path – after that, Hasley Hills, Live Oak and the Valencia Commerce Center if the fire isn’t stopped.
That area is very inaccessible west of Hasley Canyon – hopefully CalFire and Venture County Fire get a handle on it.
