A brush fire has broken out in Valencia, marking the second vegetation fire response in the Santa Clarita Valley Saturday afternoon, officials said.

UPDATE: — 5:45 p.m. Forward progress has been stopped on the Parkwood Fire, which had grown to one acre in size. Los Angeles County Fire Department officials have containment of about 90 percent, according to Supervisor Flores with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The Valencia fire, dubbed the Parkwood Fire, was first reported at about 5 p.m. Saturday near Bouquet Canyon Road near Valencia Boulevard, according to Supervisor Flores with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It is about one acre in heavy fuels,” Flores said.
Firefighters on scene predict the fire has the potential to reach about five acres, according to Fire officials.
Los Angeles County Fire Department Air Operations helicopters are overhead attacking the blaze from above, Fire officials said.
