A brush fire, dubbed the Vista Fire, broke out Friday afternoon on the 5 Freeway north of Castaic prompting a response from firefighters, officials said.
Update (1:05): CHP officers have issued a SigAlert blocking the No. 2 3 and 4 lanes of the southboung 5 Freeway at Vist Del Lago for approximately one hour, according to officials.
Update (12:45): The brush fire has grown to at least three to five acres in size, according to LACOFD officials.

Around 12:15 p.m. firefighters received reports of a vehicle fire on the southbound 5 Freeway near Vista Del Lago, said Austin Bennet, spokesperson with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It was a vehicle fire with spread to the brush,” Bennett said.
The brush fire is currently at two acres in light fuels running as of 12:40 p.m., according to Fire officials.
Traffic in the area is expected to be delayed as a result of the Vista Fire, according to officials.
