A Santa Clarita solar company is encouraging homeowners to pay less for the same electricity they’re getting now without spending anything to make the switch to solar power.

“Our customers right now are keeping their house at a nice, cool temperature with cheaper electricity than they had before, and they didn’t spend anything to do it,” said Mike Terry, founder of HomeLink Pros Solar in Canyon Country.
The average California resident pays double the price of electricity than anyone else in the country, but those who choose solar energy pay below the national average, according to Terry.

He compared staying with standard electricity to buying two six-packs of soda at the grocery store for $5 each when a 12-pack of the same soda is available for just $4.
“The smart way to power your home is with solar energy,” Terry said. “We can offer a better price for electricity than anyone else can that’s burning natural gas or coal or any of that stuff.”
