The family-owned Santa Clarita solar company HomeLink Pros Solar is giving residents the chance to switch over to solar power at their home for absolutely nothing out of pocket.

Solar Energy Consultant Emily Winchester noted that a decade ago, going solar required a large lump sum payment, but that this isn’t the case today.

“People know what solar is, but sometimes they have a misconception of the steps to take to go solar,” Winchester explained. “You can go solar for zero out-of-pocket. You don’t pay anything — we’re going to do solar for you, you’re going to have a cheaper electricity bill… It’s a no-brainer. It just makes sense.”

Winchester continued that standard electricity bills are expected to increase in the near future, but most residents might not be aware of coming changes.

“When people go, ‘Oh, well I don’t know, my bill is not that bad,’ my stomach kind of turns a little bit because there’s so many changes coming,” Winchester said. “I fear for people getting this bill coming up in the next couple months, and it’s going to be about double the price, and they just aren’t aware.”

HomeLink Pros Solar is a family-owned business that was started by a team of Santa Clarita residents who previously worked for some of the largest solar companies in the country, according to Winchester.

“We started this company because we knew we would have the best customer service,” she said. “We are SCV residents and we thrive on getting referrals and doing the best so we get more referrals… These are our family and friends and neighbors.”

HomeLink Pros Solar is set to participate in the 2019 KHTS Home and Garden Show at Central Park on April 27-28, where they will be meeting residents, answering questions and handing out information on Santa Clarita solar panels to the community.

“I really feel excited about this because I have gone with my family for so many years, and they always have the funnest things to do and see and learn about,” Winchester said. “So to have this opportunity with this solar company is so exciting. It’s very fulfilling and I just can’t wait.”
