A woman had to be extricated from her SUV on Monday afternoon after it went over the side of Vasquez Canyon Road into a ditch.
Los Angeles County Fire personnel and Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to an SUV over the side of Vasquez Canyon Road, near Lost Creek Road, on Monday afternoon.

The woman who was driving the car wasn’t seriously hurt in the crash that appeared to have totalled the vehicle she was driving, officials said.
The Sheriff’s Station Search and Rescue Team was called to assist with the incident shortly after 2:20 p.m.
The volunteer unit met with Fire Department personnel, who arrived on scene at 2:32 p.m. to assist with the woman trapped in her vehicle.
The two agencies worked together to free the woman from her SUV.
The SUV fell approximately 225 feet down the side of a cliff in Vasquez Canyon, about one mile east of Bouquet Canyon Road.
The victim was awake and alert when fire personnel arrived on scene, according to L.A. County Fire Department personnel, who said she was extricated by 2:47 p.m.
The incident was reported as a one-vehicle collision, according to a spokeswoman with the Fire Department.
