A helicopter airlift to a local hospital was requested after a solo-vehicle 5 Freeway Crash in Gorman, officials said.

At about 1:45 p.m. Monday of a vehicle over the right shoulder embankment was reported ner the southbound 5 Freeway near Quail Lake Road, according to Franklin Lopez spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“The call came in as a solo-vehicle crash,” Lopez said.

L.A. County Fire Air Operations Copter 15 is still on scene of the crash as of 2:30 p.m.

Traffic on the southbound 5 Freeway near Quail Lake Road is impacted as of Monday afternoon due to the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The condition of the victim is unknown as of Monday afternoon.
